Welcome Back to Digital Video Editing!
Importing Video:
Importing Video is very similar to importing a photo...you just drag it in from your Project Media onto your timeline. Please see the video below for an example:

Splitting and Editing Video in the Timeline:
Once your video is imported onto the timeline, you'll notice it takes up two (2) tracks, video and audio. These tracks are linked together until you separate them. What you do to one track will also affect the other track. See the video below for how to split and edit tracks:

Separating Audio & Video in the Timeline:
The magic button you are looking for lets you "Ignore Event Grouping", and this button is located on the far right side of your bottom button toolbar. Hover the mouse over the button and it will tell you what it does. See the video below for more details.

Getting Videos, Images and More!
You can score images online or from your iPad.
Videos you film on your iPad should be uploaded to Drive. Below are the proper steps:
#1 - Film Your Video using your iPad
#2 - Upload this video to your Google Drive (using your iPad)
#3 - Log on to a PC
#4 - Log onto Google Drive using Chrome
#5 - Download the video from your Drive (right-click, download)
#6 - Move the downloaded video to your H-Drive
#7 - "Add Media" button in Movie Studio, then select the video from your H-Drive
#8 - Done. Begin editing your video.
If you wish to save a video you found on the Internet, you'll need to do that at home using a program. DO NOT DOWNLOAD any programs here at school. Ever. Thanks!
MUSIC...
Royalty Free Music can be found online by searching "royalty free music". A very easy to use and popular site is https://www.bensound.com/ . They have a good variety of music, and it is easy to download. Beware! Not all of it is free, but there free selection of music is very diverse and you should be able to find music that matches the theme of your movie.
Your Assignment
You will be making a movie that has the same Theme and Content as your Website. It breaks down as shown below:
Home Page = 45 seconds - 1 minute of movie time
Sub Page 1 = 45 seconds - 1 minute of movie time
Sub Page 2 = 45 seconds - 1 minute of movie time
Sub Page 3 = 45 seconds - 1 minute of movie time
In total, your movie should be approximately 3-4 minutes long. It should contain various types of fonts, colors, images, text sizes, and should be content rich with smooth transitions and cross-fades throughout.
