Personal Business Letter Project
This project was due last week Friday, and many of you emailed it to me...THANKS!
However, many of you also have some fixing to do or changes to make. Check your email, and see if you received an email from me telling you what is wrong with your letter. Please make those changes, and don't forget to SAVE!!! After you make changes, please COMPARE YOUR LETTER to the Block Style Letter example on Lesson-1. Does it look the same as far as spacing goes? If not, fix your letter!
Proofreading Project
As you already know, proofreading is kind of a big deal. A really, really BIG DEAL.
With that in mind, you need to know proper Proofreaders Marks, and how/when to use them.
Here is a quick reference guide (cheat-sheet) for Proofreaders Marks.
PROOFREADERS MARKS CHEAT SHEET
Open it. Learn it. Study it. Memorize it. Use it for the next project shown below.
Now that you have learned, studied, and memorized proofreaders marks, its YOUR TURN to practice using them! Below is a project that challenges you to FIND THE ERRORS and fix them using the appropriate proofreaders marks. Although this assignment is short and sweet, it will aid you greatly and help you build skills in the area of proofreading. This skill will be EXTREMELY USEFUL to you over the next 6-10 years and beyond. Good Luck!

A Friendly Reminder......
About Microsoft Word and SAVING on a PC as opposed to Google Docs/Drive....
Organization and Folders are always a good idea
You have a Home Directory/Drive, known as your H: Drive
Your H: Drive starts with your last name or User ID
Your H: Drive is where we will save all of your work
You must SAVE your work, it will NOT automatically save for you
Microsoft Word is similar to Google Docs, but has many more features and advanced tools
You can upload files from your H: Drive to your Google Drive and you can download files from your Google Drive to your H: Drive. It works both ways
Don't forget to save. If you do forget, no crying or whining, simply re-do the work.
Homework = NONE. Enjoy the rest of your day! Stay on-top of your deadlines!
