MICROSOFT EXCEL Practice Charts & Graphs

Today we will make some simple charts and graphs in Excel.  We surveyed 100 people and asked them what is their FAVORITE Fruit.  We had many responses, and when all of the data was collected, we made two charts/graphs to display our data.

Your job is to re-create this in Excel.  Open this Excel Document Printout on your iPad or this Screenshot, and set it next to your monitor so you can see both at the same time.  Type the data into a new Excel Worksheet.  Be sure to save your file as "Fruit Survey--your first & last name"

Once all of your data is entered, create charts as shown in the example.  Format the font as shown in the example.  When your file is complete, it should look almost EXACTLY like the printout file on your iPad.  When you finish, save your work and move on to the next section.

MICROSOFT EXCEL Project #2 Sports Stats with Graph

For this project, you will research player statistics and record them in a spreadsheet.  You can choose from baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, or Soccer.  Please make sure that the players you choose are similar in position and stats.  Example--if you choose baseball, please record stats for 12 Pitchers, or 12 Outfielders.  Do NOT choose 6 Pitchers and 6 Outfielders....their stats won't match up well.  Questions on this?  Ask Mr. P.

For complete details on how to complete this assignment, please see the info sheet below:
