Log On to the Computers

--Google Images Search Tools (Re-Use, Size, etc.)

--Photoshop Sizing Using Transform Tool

Warm Up Activity 

--Open Your Independent Project from Lesson-2.

--Finish Your Independent Project, make sure it has at least 8 layers.

Merging Images in Photoshop Activity

--Open Your FINISHED Independent Project from Lesson-2.

--Using the Selection Tool, draw a box around your finished item.

--Click on EDIT--COPY MERGED

--Click on FILE--NEW (accept the default pixel size, but be sure to make the background TRANSPARENT instead of white.

--Click EDIT--PASTE  (your image now appears on the canvas)

Now we need to get rid of the white space around our item, in order to do this, we need to select the color white, and delete it to reveal the transparent (clear) background.

--Click --SELECT--COLOR RANGE

--A Pop-Up box appears, use the eye-dropper tool and click on the white background ON YOUR IMAGE...NOT on the Pop-Up Box.

--Click OK

--Now all of the color "white" on your image (the background) is selected.

--Press the "DELETE" key on your Keyboard.

--Your white background is now gone (deleted)

--You know you did it right if your background turned into a black/white checkerboard

LEAVE THIS FILE OPEN ON YOUR SCREEN, You'll need it in a few minutes..

--Go to Google Images and find a High-Resolution image of a Plate or Platter

--Right click on the image to COPY it, then go to Photoshop and click FILE--

  NEW to paste the image.

     --- OR ---

--Download the Image to your H-Drive on the PC, then OPEN the image in Adobe Photoshop

--Now go back to your Independent Project (on transparent background) and use your selection tool to draw a box around it, then Click --EDIT--COPY

--Go to your PLATE FILE and Click --EDIT--PASTE..........then BAM!  Your food item appears on your plate!  Use the MOVE TOOL to put this layer where you want it on your plate.

Now repeat this process to add some side dishes to your plate.  You should create your own sides using Adobe Photoshop.  Each side should be its own file!!!  Do NOT CREATE your sides on the plate file, just paste them there when you are done creating them in their own files.  Your finished product might look something like this:

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS (Per Layer MUST have 3 colors/3 brushes)

--1 Main Entre'

--3 Sides

--1 Dessert

--1 Beverage (can be copied/pasted off the Internet)

SAVE THIS FINISHED FILE!!!

--File--Save As-- Plate Project--Your First Name, Your Last Name

--This will be a summative grade, so be sure to do an AMAZING job on this project.  LOTS of detail, make it look AWESOME!
