Today's Lesson - PART-2

(Mr. P's Daily Demo! Fun with GIF's!)

                   

#1.) Open Photoshop

#2.) Copy the light bulb below

#3.) Create a new photoshop canvas (FILE:NEW) Accept the default sizes and click the blue CREATE button in the lower right corner of the pop-up box.

#4.)Go to Edit & then Paste

#5.) Duplicate the Layer (right click on layer, then "Duplicate Layer"


#6.) In the layer that ends with Copy choose a yellow color & fill the light bulb with paint bucket tool (this tool can be found under the gradient tool)

#7. Open the timeline window by clicking WINDOW:Timeline as shown below:

You'll notice a new menu and timeline at the bottom of your screen.

#8.) Choose “Frame Animation” from the pulldown menu...

#9.) Unclick the eye next to the yellow light bulb layer

YOU CAN ONLY PUT ONE LAYER PER FRAME FOR IT TO WORK

#10.) You should see just the clear lightbulb and one image in your animation window

#11.) In the timeline window at the bottom of your screen, click on the new layer icon button & then click the eye back on the yellow light bulb layer...your screen should look something like this.

#12.) In the timeline window at the bottom of your screen, below each frame photo, Change your time settings to 0.5 seconds each & loop your gif for forever so that the lightbulb goes on and off

#13.) Save for Web

       Click on the following to SAVE your file....FILE:EXPORT:SAVE FOR WEB (Legacy)

Today's Lesson - PART-3 (independent practice)

Using what you have learned above, create a TRAFFIC STOP LIGHT.

#1.) Create a NEW FILE with a canvas size 4” x 6” and a TRANSPARENT Background

#2.) Create three new layers

#3.) Place a  red, yellow & green circle in a each separate layer

       -Use the Eliptical Marquee tool & fill bucket

#4.) Use the animation window BE SURE TO UN-CLICK THE EYE NEXT TO THE LAYERS

#5.) Set your timings

#6.) FILE--Save for web--Call it "Stop-Light--YOUR NAME"

WHEN YOU FINISH...

Upload BOTH file attachments (light bulb & stop-light) to Google Classroom.
