Warm Up Activity 

Practice--Using Photoshop to Flip and Rotate Images

1--Copy and Paste this fish to a a new file in Photoshop.

You will use this fish a total of nine (9) times, pasting each one on one Master Document.

2--Rotate the Image 90 degrees Clockwise

3--Start Over with the fish file....Now lets rotate it Counter-Clockwise, by 45 degrees using the "arbitrary" rotation

Your final image for this step should look like this:

4--Start Over with the fish file....Now lets FLIP it horizontally.

Now that you know how to rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise, arbitrary, and flip images, its time for a challenge...

Using the fish image, create this Master Document of 9+ total layers by rotating and flipping the fish as necessary, and then pasting it to a Master Document.

        

INDEPENDENT PROJECT--Flipping & Rotating Images

HINT:  If your image/colors appear in grayscale, click on IMAGE--MODE--RGB.

HINT-2:  If your rulers aren't visible, click on VIEW--RULERS

CREATE A TIC-TAC-TOE GRID

1--Your document will be 19 inches wide, and 19 inches tall.

2--Use the "Selection Tool" and a "Brush Tool" to create the lines on the grid.  Each line should be 1/2 inch thick (look at the ruler--(top & left))

3--Choose one of the images shown below to create your own 9+ Layer Master Document, similar to the one shown above.

4--Be sure to include the name of the animal in the center square.

5--Change the color of the animal to match the color of your text 

    (HINT: Select--Color Range)  

SAVE THIS FINISHED FILE!!!

--File--Save As-- Flip-Rotate Animal Project--Your First Name, Your Last Name

--Submit this to Mr. P via Google Classroom or email questions at dprothero@waukesha.k12.wi.us

--Subject Line should read - "Flip-Rotate Animal Project - YOUR NAME (F&L)"

--Be sure to write a note in your email

--This will be graded and entered into Google Classroom, so be sure to do an AMAZING job on this project.
