What are the 5 P's of Marketing...otherwise known as the Marketing Mix?

PRODUCT -- What you are selling

PRICE -- How much you are selling it for

PLACE -- Where your are selling it and how it gets there

PROMOTION -- How you will tell people about your product

PEOPLE -- None of the above is possible without people.

Target Marketing

Target Market - A group of people identified for a specific marketing program.

Customer Profile - lists information about the target market such as age, gender, income level, marital status, ethnic background, geographic residence (where people live), attitudes, lifestyle, and behavior.  (Marketers spend A LOT of MONEY and TIME trying to understand their target market.

After you write them down, share-out at your table.

Look at your classmates around the classroom.  List three ways that you could segment the class into target markets.  What are three ways off of the customer profile list that you could use to do this?
