Log On to the Computers

HINT:  If your image/colors ever appear in grayscale, click on IMAGE--MODE--

           RGB.  That will fix the problem.  :)

What do these pictures all have in common?

Today's Lesson - PART-1

#1.) Set up a new document - 11” wide x 8” tall…..landscape

#2.) Place (4) Capital A’s - Myriad Pro Size 250pt in a row (FOUR SEPARATE LAYERS!!!)

#3.) Right Click on "Layer A" and select BLENDING OPTIONS, then Double Click on “Drop Shadow” towards the bottom-left.

#4.) Change the DISTANCE, SPREAD & SIZE to 20. Change the color to RED, then Click OK, and OK to see your finished product for that layer.

#5.) Now Select Layer “A Copy”. (the 2nd letter A you created) Right click and choose Blending Options

#6.) Move the dialog box off of the letter A so you can see it!!!

#7.) Double-Click on Inner Shadow ( do NOT just check the box!)

#8.) Uncheck the box “Global Light”

#8.) Change the blend mode to normal

#9.) Change your Angle, Distance, Choke & Size to 10 & Choose Red then Click OK, and OK to see your finished product for that layer.

#10.) Now Select Layer “A Copy 2”

#11.) Right click and choose blending options

#12.) Click on Outer Glow

#13.) Change blend mode to normal and choose red for your color

#14.) Change the NOISE to 50 & the SPREAD and SIZE to 25 Click OK, and OK to see your finished product for that layer.

#15.) Now Select layer “A copy 3”

#16.) Right click and choose blending options

#17.) Click on Inner Glow

#18.) Change Blend mode to Normal, Choose Red & Choose “Center” not edge

#19.) Put your choke to 40% & your size to 10px

Today's Lesson - PART-2

#1.) Create a new layer in the same document using the letter "B"

#2.) Duplicate the layer 3 more times

#3.) Using the Text tool,  Place (4) Capital B’s - Myriad Pro Size 250pt in a row

For the following layers, choose your options using the following styles

#4.) Layer  B- Bevel & Emboss

#5.) Layer B copy- Satin

#6.) Layer B copy 2-  Gradient Overlay

#7.) Layer copy 3- Pattern Overlay

Play around with this...any colors you like...go wild.  :)

Today's Lesson - PART-3

#1.) Create a new document 11”wide x 6” tall

#2.) Place each letter of your full-name in a new layer.

YOU MAY CHOOSE YOUR FONT AND COLOR!!!!!

#3.) Combine the blending options that we learned in class (and more) to make your name dynamic! Use different blending styles. Have Fun. Play. Explore. Do it! Learn Something NEW today!
