Administrators can also enable a timeout warning. That feature displays a large red banner at the top of the page approximately 5 minutes before a user will be logged out. The banner provides an "Extend Login" button that will communicate with the server and therefore reset the user's timeout countdown.
External Users
If you have defined an external IP range to apply different rules externally, the external timeout can be set separately:'

Users are automatically logged out of LegalServer after a specified period of inactivity.
Administrators configure the session timeout on the Admin / Site Settings page. The choices for the Default Session Timeout are:
System default (60 minutes)
1 Hour
1.5 Hours
2 Hours
3 Hours
