Offline Mode: Users
Access Offline Mode in a Browser
Simply click Work offline from any case to switch to offline mode.
Access Offline Mode on a Mobile Device
Install the LegalServer app on your iOS or Android device. The link will be provided to you by your administrator.
Supported Devices
All modern browsers should work in offline mode, including Chrome, Safari, and Edge. Firefox works as well, but our ability to monitor available memory is limited in Firefox.
Android and iOS devices can install the LegalServer Offline mobile app.

Users: Logging in to LegalServer Offline in a Browser
While logged into LegalServer, simply click 'Work offline'.
The first time a user accesses LS Offline from the browser the user may get a prompt to use persistent storage - user should agree to this.
Tip: If accessing LS Offline through the browser, It may be best practice to create a bookmark on your desktop to allow for easy access.
Tip: Don’t use offline in a private or incognito window.
Staying Logged In
If you don't clear your browser's data, you should stay logged into offline mode for up to year. If there is an impending disaster, such as an approaching hurricane, it would be prudent to switch to offline mode in the day or so before you anticipate losing internet access.
Out of Memory Situations
Offline LegalServer will warn the user when there is low memory, and also alert the user when memory is full. If memory becomes completely full, the application will not function properly.
Information Available Offline
Offline LegalServer is primarily designed to provide you with read-only information about cases, outreaches, and clinics you may need to service while the internet is out due to a disaster. The other primary feature is to support creating new intake records for people you screen during a disaster. Not all information or features can function offline, since without internet access, you are disconnected from the full LegalServer database.
Downloaded Cases
1) Cases on which you are the primary assignment
2) Cases you have explicitly marked for Make Available Offline while in live mode
Events and Tasks
Events and Tasks on Cases that you have marked for download, and events and tasks on cases for which you are the primary assignment.

All active outreaches
Clinics
Clinics with upcoming clinic events
Timekeeping
From the offline case, you can view but not edit timeslips associated with synced cases
You can enter new time on synced cases while offline
You can enter new time on Offline Cases that were created while offline
Documents
View documents that you marked as available offline that are connected to synced cases
Notes
From the offline case, you can view but not edit notes associated with synced cases
You can enter new notes on synced cases while offline
You can enter new notes on Offline Cases that were created while offline
Make a case available offline
A user can make a specific case available offline.
Make a case’s documents available offline
A user can make a specific case’s documents available offline. When the user selects Yes, make this case available offline, the user is prompted to decide whether documents should be synced as well.
