Participating in this exhibition was an eye-opening and impactful experience. Through our booth, we aimed to raise awareness about the ethical implications of factory farming by utilizing the poem If God's Precious Animals in Factory Farms Could Speak. This powerful poem allowed us to engage visitors emotionally and intellectually, encouraging them to reflect on their consumption choices.
Before anything, I would like to start off by thanking my teammates from the bottom of my heart for doing most of the planning while I would just agree with them. We started to design and decorate our booth a day before the exhibition, along with other groups. It was a hectic and tiring day. Some of my teammates had to go back and forth to find decorations for our booth. But, during the exhibition day, our booth did great. Not just ours, all the groups that participated did so well, and I am very proud of everyone.
this exhibition strengthened our understanding of responsible consumption. Researching the topic and preparing materials deepened our awareness of the environmental, ethical, and health implications of excessive meat consumption. We learned about the carbon footprint of the meat industry, the unethical treatment of animals, and the potential benefits of plant-based diets. This knowledge reinforced the importance of making informed and conscious decisions as consumers.
Overall, this exhibition was a valuable learning experience. It allowed us to actively contribute to raising awareness about SDG 12 and encouraged us to reflect on our own consumption habits. Moving forward, we are more committed to making responsible choices and inspiring others to do the same. We hope that our efforts sparked a lasting impact, motivating individuals to consider the ethical and environmental consequences of their food choices.
