Participating in the SDG Exhibition was an amazing experience. My group representing SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being which we focused on mental health. This exhibition able to raise awareness about this critical yet often overlooked issue. My group prepared the materials and decorating the exhibition with the mental health awareness color which is green. The activities that we conducted were engaging with the visitors.
The visitors responded positively towards the exhibition as the majority of the visitors has their own mental problem and were glad that our booth focused on the mental health. The activities for the visitors also received a positive opinion. This is because our activites were easy to understand and able to engage with the visitors.
Before attending the exhibit, many visitors had limited knowledge of SDG 3 and its connection to mental health. However, by exploring the infographics and posters, they gained a greater awareness of the significance of mental well-being and the global challenges associated with it. The exhibition also provided the information that they needed for professional help.
The subject literature can be used as a medium to educate students about SDG by using literature that focused on the SDG. There are plenty of literature such as poem or short story that can be related to SDG. For example, the poem that our booth exhibit "A Chance Of Understanding" focused on the SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, primarily mental health.
Pre-service teachers like me shouldd integrate SDGs into our teaching, the B.ED TESL program should provide more training on sustainable education, particularly in relation to mental health awareness. This could include storytelling sessions focused on well-being, SDG-themed project work or conducted lesson that talks about the SDGs that are being focused.
