REFLECTIVE WRITING ON LESSON DELIVERY (MT TOL)
I spent one day planning and preparing my lesson because I had to think carefully about the activities. The time given was enough because I could organize my ideas well and make sure my lesson was clear and interesting. Having a set time helped me focus and avoid delays. It also gave me time to include Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in my lesson while keeping students engaged. I am happy with my micro-teaching session because I was able to carry out my lesson smoothly. Most of my lesson goals were achieved, and the students responded well. I included SDG themes in my lesson, helping students see the connection between what they learned and real-life issues. Seeing students participate actively made me feel satisfied and encouraged to improve even more. Even though my lesson went well, there are some things I can improve. I think I could add more interactive activities to make students think more deeply. While my activities were engaging, I believe using more discussion-based or real-life problem-solving tasks would help students understand SDGs better. I also want to improve my questioning techniques to make students think more critically. One of the good things about my lesson was that it was well-planned and connected to SDGs. The activities made learning fun and easy to understand. However, I noticed that some students participated more than others. I need to find ways to encourage all students to join the discussion so that everyone gets a chance to share their ideas. My peers gave me useful feedback, both verbal and non-verbal. Some of them said my lesson was well-organized and interesting, while others suggested that I include more real-life examples to make the SDG elements stronger. This feedback helped me realize that I should connect the lesson more to real situations so students can see its importance. I will use this advice to improve my teaching. Overall, this micro-teaching session was a great learning experience for me. It helped me improve my lesson planning and teaching skills. I learned that it is important to balance teaching with student interaction to keep learning fun and meaningful. This experience has motivated me to keep improving, especially in using SDG themes effectively in my lessons.
