What
This week's class was used to work on and understand the difference between soft and hard skills. As CIM151 students, we were required to undertake in-depth research to understand what skills are required with a current past distruptor. We also had the opportunity to discuss with Oussama what the requirements were for the next few weeks and the way in which we could approach developing our project submission for project 2. In this week's lesson, we also recapped the essentials of quoting and how it is correctly done within our project submissions. Lastly, we were also provided with the opportunity to conduct some research on the Canva software and the way in which I work. This is a skill required to create the presentation video submission for project 2.
So What
My next steps this week are to collaborate with my group members to plan out what we are expected to do by what dates. This will provide us with a realistic overview of what needs to be done and how we will achieve it. My aim will also be to start laying out the different video sections and how they will look. I will continually try to refer back to the Project 2 syllabus and the learning outcome section to ensure that all LO's are successfully demonstrated and met within the project scope. The tasks are to assign different group members different tasks concerning project one and to begin the research process for project 2. In addition, I will also ensure that our group presentation has multimedia included throughout that represents the content we are explaining.
Now What
Before next week's lesson, I will also ensure that I continue to practice referencing websites, books, images, videos, etc. and place all references in alphabetical order. This task will support me in Project Two and ensure that I am equipped with the correct skills to achieve a HD grade on my project.
Transferable Skills
In terms of the transferable skills reflected on this week, I personally feel that the best-reflected ones have been cognitive outsourcing. The reason why I believe this is that, as a group, we were required to source different websites in order to begin putting together our project video.
