What...
We found this weeks in-class activities quite useful over at the same time a bit challenging. To me personally the content and learn was not challenging as I was familiar with it already however what was challenging was understanding the different ways to manoeuvre within the d.a.w. software. In this week session we covered the way in which plug-ins can be added to individual channels, how subgroups and effect groups can be created, and how master send faders can be manipulated to sound better.
In order to successfully achieve this weeks task and understand the learnt content actions I took was that I was continuously asking questions to further clarify any sections of which I did not fully understand. I also decided to review YouTube videos during the session break in order to help me have a clear understanding of the different features.
In terms of this weeks class response of other students, I personally believe it was quite the same as mine as it was a lot of information to take in at once. Lastly, I personally think this weeks lesson was a great experience and a great learning point for the future.
So what...
This week's last person trying to understand all the different aspects that would then futuristically help me and enable me to develop my project to do a more enhanced level. I personally based my actions during this week session on what our lecture Randy was teaching us and also on prior knowledge and experience of applying equalisation to different tracks and effects. In the future what I believe I should do better is take screenshots throughout the process of the class to allow me to then reflect on the different steps taken within my learning channel. My next steps are now to go away and fully ensure that I understand different features that were mentioned within the class but also expand my knowledge on different plug-ins which are available within the ProTools the DAW.
Now what...
My next steps before next weeks lesson are to not only ensure that I have a clear understanding of all the content that was covered within this week's lecture but also understand and put out any questions which I may have outstanding.
I will also start to work with my group in order to plan projects whereby I will email my group members in order to decide on the final track and book recording dates. What I believe may happen as it has in previous projects is that I will obtain limited responses from my group members, however in order to overcome that I will ensure to cc my lecture into the email I send, which will then demonstrate my proactiveness within the group.
Upon receiving feedback this week from my lecture Randy in regards to my learning journal I've also reflected that I have to add less content to the weekly journal and be more clear and concise with my documentation.
