What if
The aim of this week's class was to understand the different technical terms required beyond the areas of discussion for project 2. The main question of today's lecture was "How has technology affected the way you create music?" To me, the way in which music affects what I produce is based on the emotions a track expresses and communicates to those around me. If a production piece is able to transmit a message and emotions, then I consider that I have done my job correctly.
The role of today's class was to reflect on what had been presented in Project Two and to discuss what could be done better as an overall class. The reflection points that were taken away from this lecture are the knowledge gained from the genealogy tree project and the need to update and reflect on our personal goals as individual students. I personally feel that over the first 3 weeks at SAE I have been able to successfully demonstrate my skills and understanding of assignments.
So what
Upon reflecting on project one and brainstorming ideas for the pre-class wider reading as a class, we started to brainstorm and develop ideas for project two. The aim of project two is to conduct wider reading and research on one of your chosen influences influencer. The chosen person needs to be someone who we are unfamiliar with for project 1, and we are interested in learning more about the person. I personally felt that project two was providing me with an opportunity to strengthen our knowledge and understanding of someone that inspires us through our genealogical tree, which we were not aware of in the past. I personally feel that today's lesson was really informative and great for reflection.
Now what?
My next steps before the next class are to reflect on what I have learned so far in the first 4 weeks of SAE and how I can present my ideas, research, and findings in a creative and clear way. Consistence of higher-level knowledge and research skills will be key within Project Two to enable me to ensure a consistent reflection and understanding of my learning.
My idea for my chosen artist for project 2 will be "Martin Garix," and all research information can be found and reflected upon within the project 2 tab. The reason for this chosen artist is that it is someone I do not fully know and have an interest in understanding the way in which he has developed and influenced the music world. All the refrances present on that tab reflect my research process and method of understanding new findings and information. What I would like to do differently for project two is the way in which I present my work and final project. I would like to ensure that all spelling, grammar, and punctuation are improved, as well as increase the amount of interactive media included in my presentation.
I believe this lecture reflects the creative transferable skill because of the level of creativity that can be used to undertake and complete project two.
What is your immediate reaction when you first confront a problem with your project?
When confronted by an unexpected task of the problem within the process of completing my project I would take a stepback and look at any error that I might have conducted during the research and interpretation of the project.
What is an example of a problem you have solved in a project, describe how you resolved it and what could you do it better?
An example of a problem that I faced during the project was that at times during the research project, I found it difficult to find the correct resources that provided me with the information I was looking for. The resolution to this problem and future projects is to rephrase my quations and Google statements
Looking at the project you are about to embark on, identify risks that may present themselves and present some solutions.
Some risks that I might face during project 2 are the crossing or repeating of information gathered from project two. In order to avoid this, I will ensure that I continually refer back to my project one to ensure that none of the information is repeated.
