This week was the final week of the trimester, keeping in mind that we will be off schedule next week due to Eid break. Our aim this week was to present our project three presentations and receive some feedback from our lecturer and peers. I also had the opportunity to meet in person with Ousama for the first time this trimester to discuss my progress this trimester and what my expected overall holistic grade is. I also had the opportunity to reflect on what went well and what could be done better for the next upcoming trimester.
My role was to have a clear understanding of where my grades currently sit and to evaluate the overall holistic grade that I am looking to receive by the end of this trimester. To create a successful reflective plan, I will look to create a short action plan that consists of the positives of this term and what could be actioned further. This will provide me with an opportunity not only to reflect on what has been done but also to understand the best strategic way to approach the upcoming trimester.
During this session, we were also provided with the opportunity to present our 3rd project for this unit. The project presentation went well, even though it was a presentation that was mostly put together by myself and Bashar. It was quite an interesting project to complete as it provided an opportunity to develop my presentation skills. Further reflective practice on the specific project and its development processes can be found on my project page.
In terms of this week’s transferable skills, I thought they were a representation of creativity and reflective skills. The reason for this was the elements and key features that I learnt within this lesson with regards to the development of my presentation skills and the understanding of smart short and long-term goals within my presentation and business startup. In addition, how reflective practice skills can be reflected upon within this week’s learning was during the improvement feedback session carried out one-on-one with Ousama to understand what went well, but at the same time, what can be improved. This reflective set of skills is something that I can use in future units but also in the real world when looking to improve or reflect on a completed or ongoing business project. Overall, this whole unit and trimester was a great experience and learning opportunity, which I can now apply to future units.
