What & So What
The aim of this week's session was to work on and continue to develop project 3 within our set groups. Within my group, we ensured that all the research-based content was gathered and inserted within our project presentation, allowing us to stay on track for next week's submission and presentation. This week, my group members were unfortunately not present in class, which made it difficult to stay in touch with them. However, I managed to reflect on what had to be done using the comment section of Google Slides. In order to prepare for the upcoming submission, I decided to assign comments to each section that had to be completed. We also looked at scheduling a meeting later this week to discuss the next steps and who would be presenting which section of the project. During this week's session, I also continually ensured that I received as much feedback as possible from Ousam in order to apply it to the final presentation. Ousama also took the time to reiterate to everyone what he was expecting for this submission and by what dates.
Now What
To improve on what we had done so far for project 2, I sat down with my group members on Wednesday and read through our project presentation to understand what we were doing correctly and what could be improved on based on the project spec and learning outcomes. By annotating what I thought should be improved or changed, it allowed us to have a clearer understanding of the next steps. I definitely feel like this lesson was extremely productive and instructive as it provided us with the opportunity to improve our project submissions by receiving constructive feedback from Ousama as well.
Transferable Skills
In terms of the transferable skills reflected on this week, I personally feel that the best-reflected ones have been critical thinking and creativity. I believe this is because we have the opportunity to understand what could be improved and implemented in our project 3 prior to submission. In relation to the creativite aspect of today's session, the way in which I feel this was reflected was in the creation of our project slides and the layout of the content. We had to ensure that we were presenting our findings in a creative way to maintain and capture our audience's attention.
