What...
During this week we started the lesson with Randy explaining the audio course and the AUD176 unit. Randy explained what projects we will be having and what content we could be learning. During this lesson, the aim was to get to know the system and to also prepare us for the start-up on Project 1. Randy then also explained and when through all the different tabs within the unit site. In the second half of the lesson, Randy went through the virtual console simulator to prepare us for the workshop session. In terms of the live console simulator, I undertook all that was explained also due to my previous knowledge within the audio industry, however, my only difficulty was getting my laptop to work over headphones. To resolve this problem I had to report the issue to SAE Australia.
During the second session, Randy planned to take us into the studio to go through all the different features of the audio console. I felt like this was a pretty basic workshop due to the prior knowledge I have with working with the console however, the Protools demonstration was really useful as this was the first time that I worked with this DAW software.
