This week was devoted to finishing and submitting our final projects 2 and 3. This was quite a hectic week as I was continually trying to ensure that all project deliverables and learning outcomes were met, both for projects 2 and 3. In terms of Project 2, I personally had a great experience, and it was great to learn about the different techniques used when mixing different types of instruments, such as drums, keys, vocals, and synths. On the other hand, with regards to project 3, I had pretty much completed all the required deliverables during last week's session, whereby this week's main focus was on the project reflection and ensuring that all my personal projects were uploaded to my portfolio. I really enjoyed learning about the different mixing secrets and techniques within Protools, as this is a skill I can futuristically apply both in-studio work environments and also in live sound. It was great to have the opportunity to review and refresh on the Protools software and the way it works.
With regards to this week's transferable skills learned, I feel that the best-reflected skills were critical thinking and discovery. The reason why I feel this way is that we were required to critically think and understand the different sections and parts of the single flow within the DAW protools and also how the placement of different plugins would affect the overall sound of the project, which has helped me with my final project mix for project 2's submission.
