Little Milton

Little Milton (1934-2005) - I first heard Little Milton as I was exploring the other Chess Bluesmen - thanks to a friend who had all of the Chess Masters Series LPs - issued in the early 1970s. His sound on these cuts is much more soulful, but he plays some great guitar too. Later, I discovered his earlier recordings for Sun and Bobbin - which bear a much closer resemblance to the electric blues of the 50s and 60s.

Little Milton played in standard tuning and primarily in the basic blues box positions, but his playing had "the feeling" that makes it truly great!
