Jimmy Vaughan

Jimmy Vaughan - is one of the most authentic, traditional blues guitarists. I first heard him on records by The Fabulous Thunderbirds in the 1980s and even got to see him live in Chicago one time - at the famed Cubby Bear Lounge! He later left the T-Birds to pursue a solo career during which time his playing became even more primitive and awesome!

In recent years, he started playing a lot using a capo in order to be able to play in the first E position - like Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Gatemouth Brown, and Guitar Slim. He also plays w/o picks - making his sound even more "old school."
