Fenton Robinson

Fenton Robinson (1935-1997) - was a blues guitarist from Greenwood,Mississippi who settled in Chicago in 1962. Between 1957 and 1962 or so, his style resembled other Texas blues guitarists. Later, he changed to a more "jazzy" sound that can be heard on His most memorable tune - "Somebody Loan Me A Dime."

I got to see him perform live in a small club in South Bend, Indiana during the late 1980s. He was fantastic!
