Bill Jennings

Bill Jennings (1919-1978) - was a jazz guitar player who is best known for his work with Louis Jordan's band with whom he recorded and performed. Jennings is one of the truly unsung blues/jazz guitarists of all-time. His playing is a simply fantastic blend of jazz, swing, and blues ideas. He recorded with Roy Brown and Bill Doggett and others before returning to play mostly jazz as a solo artist.

Many of the more contemporary West Coast blues guitarists - including Junior Watson, the late Hollywood Fats, and Tommy Harkenrider - have cited Jennings as a big influence on their playing.
