Skip James

Skip James (1902-1969) - Skip James created blues "from another world!" His music was unlike any other acoustic blues musician before or since. Jame's unique sound came from his use of open and open minor -what he called "cross note" - tuning. The only one of his tunes that I know is Special Rider Blues - played in Open G.
