Matthew 27:46
Jesus Takes On All the Sins of the World
46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").
When Jesus took on the sins of mankind, He for the first time was separated from His Father...A Son separated from His Father...He even asks His Father why He has forsaken Him...It wasn't that His Father was forsaking Him, but our sins were separating Them...Humanity's sins came between Them and they were apart...What a feeling Jesus must have felt at that instant in time...He probably felt alone from His Father, and maybe unloved...This is what my sins did to Him...He was separate from His Father...
