Acts 28:30-31
Paul Preached the Gospel With All Boldness and Without Hindrance
30 For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. 31 He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
Matthew 24:35
Jesus' Words Will Never Pass Away
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
St. Luke ends the Book of Acts with the Greek word akolutos...Akolutos means without hindrance or unhindered...Luke probably wanted to end his book the Acts of the Apostles with a meaningful and remembered word and he uses akolutos...So St. Paul preached the gospel of Jesus to others while in Rome and under guard for two whole years without hindrance ...And ending the Acts of the Apostles this way, we are left without any details of what Paul did in Rome...We do not know if Paul dies after the two years, or what happened...But the gospel Paul preached was unhindered by men, and nothing any man could do would stop the gospel of Jesus from growing and reaching the ends of the earth...The gospel is the Word of God, spoken by Jesus...The gospel will never pass away, it will go on unhindered...
