1 Corinthians 2:6-10
God's Wisdom is a Mystery to Us
6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
John 3:5-15
Jesus Came from Above and Speaks of Heavenly Things
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
10 “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man. 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
John 3:31
Jesus is From Above
31 The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.
John 6:32-40
Jesus Comes from Above
32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”
35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
John 14:1-4
Jesus Prepares Rooms and Places for us in Heaven
1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Acts 1:6-11
Jesus Ascends Back into Heaven
6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
John 4:24
God is Spirit
34 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
2 Corinthians 4:18
Earth is Our Temporary Home
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Acts 17:24-28
God Has Created Us and Given Us an appointed Time on Earth
24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
Matthew 12:46-50
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”
48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
John 17:3
Eternal Life is Knowing God and His Son
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
John 14:6
No One Gets to the Father Except Through Jesus
6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 18:36-38
Jesus Testified to the Truth
36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate.
Job 42:1-3
Job Sees the Wonderment of the Almighty God
1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
Galatians 5:13-25
Life by the Spirit, and Fruit of the Spirit
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Matthew 22:23-33
Marriage at the Resurrection
23 That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 24 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him. 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh.27 Finally, the woman died. 28 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”
29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 31 But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.
Revelation 21:22-27
God is PURE LOVE, Nothing Impure is in Heaven
22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
God and His Kingdom are great mysteries to us...Jesus is also a mystery and He lived on earth, and taught us much about God and His kingdom...God LOVES us and has given us a Holy Spirit...And our Spirit is holy...God has given us a Holy Spirit to seek Him and find Him...And through His Son we can meet Him...
Heaven is a Holy and Sacred Place...Heaven is a Spiritual Place, a place for the spirit...And heaven is the Holy Place for His Holiness...Jesus came from above...He came from heaven...He came from the Kingdom of God...He comes from the Kingdom of Heaven...He tells us this...John the Baptist teaches us that the One who comes from above, is above all...And all the ones who come from earth belong to the earth and speak as one from the earth...The One who comes from heaven is above us all, and can speak of and about heaven...Jesus' eternal home is heaven and He came down from His eternal home to teach us about God, so we could learn about Him and His Father...Jesus on earth was fully Man, if it is fair to call Him a Man, and He is fully Divine...
Since Jesus came down from heaven, and ascended back into heaven, there are two worlds...And Jesus makes it clear He is the Only One who has ever gone to heaven and is the One who came from heaven...He has been in heaven since the beginning...He says that "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man."...
Jesus who comes from above is above all...John the Baptist repeats this verse...Being from heaven, Jesus is above us...There are two worlds and Jesus lives in the Holy Place of heaven, and we live on earth...Earth is our temporary home...God created us and has given us each a special and appointed time and place on earth to live...He also gave us not only free choice, and free will, but also a Holy Spirit to seek Him...God has given us a conscious with the power to reason and the power to make our own choices...One of our greatest choices, if not the greatest choice is to seek Him...God reaches out to us with the Holy Spirit...Each of us are here, for maybe this purpose, to seek and find Him...Eternal life is this, that we know the only True God...But also there is something else for eternal life, that we know His Son, the one He sent...And when we believe in God and that He sent His Son, then we have eternal life...When we believe in God and His Son, we believe that there is this eternal life that Jesus speaks of...And then we must believe that earth is only this temporary place for our physical bodies, and that heaven is a place for the Spiritual, and our eternal Spirit...And getting to know God and Jesus while we are on earth is of the utmost important reasons to be on earth...God is Spirit you know...And what is unseen is eternal...So, the Spirit is hard to comprehend and understand, but the Spirit lives in the eternal heaven...The Holy Spirit guides us to Truth...The Holy Spirit responds to love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control -the goodness in and of life...
We live in this world on earth and know some of the things about earth...Because we know and live on earth, we can talk about the things of earth...We desire the things of the earth and desire the things of flesh...But unlike earth, there is this great mystery of heaven...We know little about it...Jesus gives us some insight on heaven...It is Another World, the second of two worlds, we will live in...Earth has seemed so real, but is it the real world?...Jesus said that the reason He came to earth was to testify to the Truth...Jesus testified about God and Himself...Jesus also teaches and testifies about the Kingdom of God...Is Jesus also testifying to Truth of one world over another?...Is He testifying about our next world?...Is both earth and heaven true worlds?...Does earth represent a true and truthful world?...We can believe that earth and heaven are, in fact, separate worlds...So is the earth a true world, or is heaven the only true world?...Is heaven the only world of Absolute Truth?...
Maybe the next world will have a little something like this about it:
In heaven is the home of LOVE and SPIRIT, and LIGHT...God is LOVE...Jesus is the LIGHT...And believers are there by our Spirits of our Souls, and knowing and believing in God and Jesus while we were on earth...The Soul connects with our Holy Spirit...Our Holy Spirit connects us to Jesus...And Jesus connects us to God...
When we leave earth and get to go to heaven if Jesus is in our hearts, we will get a prepared room like He talks about in the gospels...We now have left earth...We must leave everything we have on earth...We have left our old world and are now are in a second world, the eternal world...All our material things, our house, cars, and possessions are gone...We leave many of the earthly things on earth...We are then in eternity...We will meet Jesus in eternity...Then we will get to meet His brothers and sisters...The other Spirits doing His will, will also be in heaven...But we will not have spouses...We will be like the angels in heaven...After we have met Jesus, at some point (either before or after this) -we get to meet His Father...No one can come to the Father except through Jesus...We get to meet our Creator...And like Job after we meet Him, everything will be alright eternally, ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’ ...In heaven, there is no darkness, and there is no night...In heaven, God is the LIGHT and His Son is the LAMP...We will be like His angels...
