Matthew 22:37-38
The Greatest Commandment
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
1 John 4:8
God is Love
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Jesus teaches us we are to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind....And He adds that this is the first and greatest commandment of the Bible....So let us use our hearts, our souls, and our minds, to seek and find God...
So we are to love God with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds...So it maybe that we are to use our hearts to seek and find Him, our faith through our souls to find Him, and also use our mind with reason and logic to find and believe that He exists...
So if one believes that we need all three of these things to seek and find God, then we might believe that the heart is the Spiritual Center of one's self, and the soul is our eternal existence and connection with Him, and our minds must see and believe that faith is a necessary truth to believe in God...And love is linked to all these things...
And maybe it is that faith is a part of all three parts, of the heart, the soul, and the mind...So we may need faith and reason to believe so that our faith and belief resonates in our hearts, our souls, and our minds to believe that there is a God, and that He is here watching and helping us, with His Plan...For without this resonating belief in Him, one will not believe...And the love in our hearts help this resonation take place, because we know that He is LOVE, so we have this love connection in our faith with Him...
