Matthew 24:35
Jesus Words Will Never Pass Away
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
I believe that Jesus is Divine by what He spoke and Teaches us...He spoke about faith, and His statements were mostly of faith and belief in Him and His Father...He tells us that His Words will never pass and they have not and are mentioned everyday and especially on the Christian Sabbath, because He is LORD of the Sabbath...His Words are evidence of His Divinity and give us reason to believe that He is Divine, has a Divine Nature, and in Heaven with God, His and our Father...So His Words have continued on even after two thousand years...
When looking at what Jesus said, here why believers can see His Divine Nature...
Jesus often spoke with an unmatched authority...He didn't quote scripture to justify His teachings but spoke with the power of One who originates the Absolute Truth...This Self-assuredness regarding His message is seen as a claim to Divine Authority...And as He spoke it seems that He is the One who is saying these Authoritative Teachings and Message, and that they might be His Original Thoughts and Words...But He tells us: "My teaching is not My Own...It comes from the One who sent Me."...This clearly establishes that Jesus sees His Authority as derived from God, and is not self-proclaimed...And after His Resurrection, Jesus states "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me."...While Jesus claims immense power, the phrasing "given to Me" implies the Source of all of His Authority is God the Father...
Then Jesus commonly goes around telling people they are forgiven of their sins...In passages like Mark 2:5-7, Jesus forgives sins, an act traditionally reserved for God...This act angered religious leaders who viewed it as blasphemy, because only God gave forgive sins...Jesus' response implies His Power to forgive sins is a demonstration of His Divine Identity...Jesus forgives the sins of a paralyzed man even before He healed him...There was a woman who was a sinner who He forgave...In Luke 7:48, Jesus forgives a woman who had been a sinner, contrasting her faith with the self-righteousness of a Pharisee...Then there was a woman caught in the act of adultery...And even thought the man who committed the adultery with her is not mentioned, Jesus refuses to condemn the woman caught in adultery, offering her forgiveness and encouraging her to sin no more...
Then Jesus spoke of His Being I AM in some of His Teachings...Jesus uses several "I AM" statements, like "I AM the Bread of Life" (John 6:35) or "I AM the Light of the World" (John 8:12)....He said "I AM the Good Shepherd."...The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."...Very truly Jesus sold some unbelievers that “before Abraham was born, I AM!”...These pronouncements are seen as drawing a direct connection with God's self-identification in the Hebrew Bible, when God told Moses His Name is "I AM WHO I AM."...By using similar language, Jesus suggests a unique relationship with God, possibly hinting at His Divinity...
These Teachings and Messages of Jesus, helps us believe that He is Divine and has a Divine Nature and is now with God watching over us...
