Can we actually deliver on the things we agree to do?

How about the things your family, friends, and classmates say they will do?

Being trustworthy

Genesis 7:11~16

Genesis 7:16

The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the Lord shut him in.

In this Bible reading, which of the below did God do that he said he would do?

□ Teach Noah how to build an ark

□ Have Noah’s family enter the ark

□ Have animals enter the ark, one male and one female

□ Make it rain for 40 days

Wow! God did everything he told Noah He would do! And all of those were things humans cannot do, yet He did them! Even the animals listened to God and obediently entered the ark, one male and one female. What an amazing act!

The Bible also tells us that there are many more things God will do. The greatest and also the most important thing is that He will give us his son Jesus Christ, who will be nailed to the cross and take the punishment for our sins so that our sins will be forgiven! As long as we are willing to believe in Jesus Christ, we will be able to enter the ark like Noah and avoid destruction!

1.How do you feel when others do not deliver on something you have both agreed on?

2.God delivers on what he says he will do. Will you choose to learn from this good character?

1. According to their kind

Once Noah’s family and the animals were inside the ark, God shut them in to protect them from the scary flood. This is similar to how we quarantine ourselves when there are contagious diseases and viruses in the environment to avoid getting sick.

Dear Heavenly Father, although you want to punish those who sin, you care more about saving the good people that listen to your Word. Thank you for preparing Jesus Christ for us and saving our lives! I am so thankful that Jesus was nailed to the cross for me to wash away my sins! In Jesus’s name, Amen!
