Jesus had 12 disciples.
When Jesus resurrected from the dead,
only 11 disciples came to meet him because Judas,
the greedy betrayer,
would never meet our victorious Jesus again!

Be with Jesus

Matthew 28:11~20

Matthew 28:20
⋯ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

The high priests and elders heard that Jesus's tomb was empty and he had risen, so they gave the guards money to lie about it and say that the disciples stole Jesus’s body. In fact, Jesus met his 11 disciples at the appointed place. Jesus told the disciples that he had already received the authority over all heavens and earth and was the king of the world. He had overcome the plots of Satan and the high priest. Jesus wanted his disciples to preach the gospel and make all nations his disciples, baptize them and tell them to follow his word. Then Jesus would always be with them. Being with our loving Jesus forever is such a joyful and peaceful thing to experience!

After Jesus rose from the dead, he was with his disciples, what did he tell them?

□ 1.Throw a party □ 2.Get together and revenge for Jesus
□ 3.Go and make disciples of all nations □ 4.Baptize others
□ 5.Teach everyone to follow the words of Jesus
□ 6.Jesus already has the authority over the heavens and earth

  1. The high priests and elders were supposed to be leaders that listened to God's word. Instead, they used money to bribe others to lie. Do you think God liked that? People with authority are not necessarily honest, so we must discern carefully and not be fooled by them! No matter what others do, are you willing to be an honest person?

  2. Are you willing to follow the words Jesus said to his disciples? If you are willing to, reading the Bible more can help you learn more about what Jesus said to his disciples.

  1. Nations

  2. Authority

Jesus's resurrection was victorious over Satan and ruined the plan of the high priests and elders. God's plan succeeded! Jesus sacrificed his life for us and Jesus gained authority upon his resurrection. He wants us to continue to share his love and teaching to all those around us so that more people can accept his love and salvation from the cross. When we obey Jesus and the word in the Bible, Jesus will be with us daily!

Dear Jesus, you are the resurrected and real God. Please help me to follow your word in how I live my life and give me courage like the disciples had to bring others to get to know you and become your disciples. Please be with me every day. In Jesus'Name I pray, Amen!
