Because Adam and Eve decided to believe Satan’s lies, their joyful time with God came to an end!

The party is over!

Genesis 3:14~24

Genesis 3:21
The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.

Humans made a wrong decision, which ruined the wonderful world and plan that God had created for them.
Was it really so serious? Indeed! When humans do not obey God’s Word, violating His holy and good will, doing something they shouldn’t have done (e.g., lying, stealing etc.), or not doing what they should (e.g., admitting wrong, apologizing etc.), that is considered as sin.

Let's compare the Bible's records:

  1. Adam and Eve rebelled against God’s command and ate what they should not have. How do you think God felt when this happened?

  2. The consequences of sin is terrible! If you were Adam or Eve, what would you do after sinning?

  3. Why do you think God made garments of skin and clothed Adam and Eve? What kind of animal skin do you think He used?

  1. Curse

  2. Offspring

God’s original plan was for a blessed and happy family, but humans and God were separated because humans did not obey the commands God had given to protect them, and humans began to suffer. However, God still loves us. If we are willing to obey Him, believe that Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross for our sins, paid the price of our chastisement, shed His blood to cleanse our sins, we can reconcile with God!

Dear Heavenly Father, I believe the salvation of the Cross can wash away all of my sins and past wrongs. Please forgive me. I pray that I can better understand you through my devotions and become an obedient child to you so that we can have a loving relationship and continue in your wonderful plan. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
