After Jesus was born, he attracted a lot of attention! There were Magi from the east, religious leaders at that time, and King Herod. They were all worried about Jesus'birth. If he came to become King, they would lose their precious standing and jobs. So they plotted to hurt Jesus. Actually, Jesus did not come to take away their power; he came to save the Jews by sacrificing himself in accordance to the plan of God and the rophecies from the Bible. He was the Messiah the Old Testament had prophesied.

Dear Heavenly Father, We want to be like those magi from the east who searched and looked for Jesus. I hope to read the Bible every day, as diligent as the magi following the stars in the sky. Please give me the wisdom to get to know Jesus more. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
