Do you ever feel like you family is complicated?
You probably haven’t seen a family that is worse!

The First Family

Genesis 3:14~24

Genesis 4:7
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.

Cain and Abel both gave God offerings. Younger brother Abel offered the best, fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. However, Cain did not offer his best to God. The Lord looked with favor on Abel, so older brother Cain became angry! God told Cain, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?” Will getting angry solve your problems? When you are angry, you will react impulsively, so you must be extra careful!

Did Cain accept God’s advice? He was jealous and angry, and did not choose to listen to God, so what did he do?

Do you love your family? Does your family argue often? Do you obey when your parents advise you to love one another and be humble? How do your parents feel when your family argue? How do you think God feels?

Dear Heavenly Father, sometimes I argue with my family. Please help me learn to be forgiving and humble, to be happy for them when they do well and praise them so that I can become a good role model and make my parents and God happy!
