Did Cain really not know? His mind was filled with jealousy and anger, so he did not just kill his younger brother with his bare hands, he rudely lied to God and said he didn’t know. And so God punished him, driving from his home, never to see him again. At this time, Cain had a moment of clarity and begged for forgiveness. He realized that his sin had caused his relationship with God to fracture and break!

Dear Heavenly Father, when I feel anger, please help me calm down and avoid letting the anger control my emotions and make wrong decisions and actions that will cause me to sin and ruin my relationships with you and those around me. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen!
