God called on Abram

Genesis 12:1~9

Genesis 12:4

So Abram went, as the Lord had told him⋯

Abram's hometown, Ur, was a place that worshipped many idols. One day, God spoke to Abram and told him to leave his hometown and go to a place indicated by God. God also made 7 promises to him. Abram obeyed the word of God, he took his family and possessions and headed to a land given by God, Canaan. Abram built an altar there and worshipped God.

What seven promises did God make to Abram?

1.I will call you ______. 4.You will be a ______.

2.I will ____ you. 5.I will bless those who ____ you.

3.I will make your ______ great. 6.Whoever curses you, I will _____.

7.All _____ on earth will be _____ through you .

1. God likes to draw near to people. He calls people to join His plan? Was it special for Abram to be chosen by God? Are you willing to accept God's calling and engage in His plan?

2. Have you realized that God is the God who likes to bless?

1. Told

2. Altar

When Abram heard the word of the Lord God, he did as God commanded. Just like Noah, who listened to God's instruction to build an ark, his family and the living creatures

were saved! Listening to God's word will result in God's protection and blessings.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing me to be your child! Noah and Abram, whom you'd chosen, built altars and prayed to You. I will also read the Bible daily and pray to You, and follow Your word in the Bible. In Jesus' Name, Amen!
