He is the son of God and had the power to save himself and have the angels come to fight for him, but he was willing to be humiliated and died. This was all because he loved humankind and was following the plan of God. Everyone on earth has sinned, and the consequence of sin is death. Jesus died on the cross to save you, so as long as you accept him as your God and savior, your sins will be cleansed and you can live a happy life free of sin!
