During this time, the whole earth became dark because Jesus bore the sin of the world and the judgment of God. How heavy is sin! God who is holy had to temporarily abandon his beloved son, because Jesus was covered with the stain of sin. When Jesus completed the work of saving the world, he let out one last breath and died. After Jesus'body died, many miracles happened! And the people on earth finally believed that Jesus was the son of God!

Jesus was lonely and suffering on the cross, and it was all to take the suffering that we were supposed to endure! Sin is a dark and scary thing and blocks our relationship with God, and results in death. We must be careful not to sin easily!

Dear Jesus, Thank you for dying on the cross for me. The pain and suffering you experienced helps me understand the scary consequences of sin. I am willing to often reflect on myself, and ask that you remind me not to sin. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
