Jesus is God. The only purpose he came to earth was to save humans from sin. Satan, the devil which rebelled against God, tried every possible way to spoil this important plan. This time, Satan took advantage of Jesus’ fasting for 40 days. When he was hungry after the fast, he used three tricks to tempt Jesus in an attempt to kill him. But Jesus used the words of the Bible to resist Satan’s lies.

Satan is often by our side, trying to trick us. However, God is always with us and sends his angels to protect us. We must diligently read the Bible and keep God's word in our hearts so that we are able to tell what is real and fake in times of danger and challenge.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for sending Jesus to the world to save us from sins. I will read the Bible diligently and memorize Bible verses. I will also be more aware, careful, and avoid listening to strangers and their offers of gifts or candy. I will tell God and my parents about the things that I want! In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
