Have you ever felt scared of being discovered after doing something wrong? Have you ever had nightmares from doing something wrong? Many people do! How can you solve it next time that happens?

The consequence of being stubborn

Psalms 32:1~11

Psalms 32:5
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

After David became King, he committed many serious sins, such as stealing someone else’s wife and killing people. However, when he earnestly admitted his wrongs to God, he received God’s forgiveness and peace. In the journey of life, it is hard to avoid making mistakes, hurting people, and sin against God. It causes us to suffer in our hearts as well. Only when we are willing to face what we did, repent and receive God’s forgiveness, then will we escape the bondage of sin and receive a feeling of freedom and peace. Our loving God is always willing to show us grace, so pray and repent to him quickly when you do something wrong. Only then will you receive freedom and happiness. The more stubborn you are, the more hurt and suffering you will experience.

6. Bit and bridle

When we commit a sin, there are two choices— one is to be stubborn, foolish, and uncaring about consequences. However, that means there are feelings of worry and fear in our hearts and can make the whole body sick! The other choice is to admit the wrongdoing to God, receive His forgiveness, and change our ways. Only by making that wise choice will you receive God’s blessings and a happy life.

Dear Heavenly Father, Please forgive my past transgressions and the times I chose to be stubborn and avoid admitting my wrongs. I am willing to pray to you often and identify the things I have done wrong so that the sins do not stay in my heart. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen!
