After Jesus was born, he attracted a lot of attention! There were Magi from the east, religious leaders at that time, and King Herod. They were all worried about Jesus'birth. If he came to become King, they would lose their precious standing and jobs. So they plotted to hurt Jesus. Actually, Jesus did not come to take away their power; he came to save the Jews by sacrificing himself in accordance to the plan of God and the rophecies from the Bible. He was the Messiah the Old Testament had prophesied.

The Magi of the east knew that Jesus would eventually become King, so they did not stop searching for Him. If you knew Jesus was God's son, would you also want to search for Him and become his friend? Or would you still be upset like King Herod?

People in the world often think of their own benefits, even to the extent of hurting others. Our God and Jesus are loving and wise, and always want to help and save the world. We should learn their ways. God will surely be pleased!

Dear Heavenly Father, We want to be like those magi from the east who searched and looked for Jesus. I hope to read the Bible every day, as diligent as the magi following the stars in the sky. Please give me the wisdom to get to know Jesus more. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
