Holidays and Observances:
Chanukah (December 7 - December 15) is the Jewish tradition known as the Eight day Celebration of Lights.
Library will be closed during school hours and after school on Monday, December 11th. However, the Tech Department will be available if you need tech support. The library will be open before school and will resume regular hours for the rest of the week. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Reminder: Adopt A Family unwrapped gifts are due December 11th. We are still in need of some gifts. Please email Mrs. Martin at Maryann.martin@thorntonacademy.org if you are interested in purchasing a gift that is still needed.
Please include a note taped on with the family number and the child you shopped for. Example: Family #12, Child 1. That way, we can ensure each donation gets to the correct child/family. Gifts should be dropped off:
Freshman - SB202 with Ms. Farris or Mrs. Martin in Counseling.
Sophomores - MB010 to Mrs. Colpritt or EB 6 or Mrs. Carrier.
Juniors - LB104 to Mrs. Helgesen (same building as the library, first floor, second door on the right).
Seniors - Counseling Office to Mrs. Martin.

Become a TA Tour Guide!
Help welcome prospective students and families to Thornton Academy! TA Tour Guides give campus tours, connect with students on email and social media, and help out at open houses and fairs. Share your love of Thornton Academy with students and families who have yet to discover our school. E-mail Ms. Small FMI jamie.small@thorntonacademy.org
The T.A. Anglers' Society is open to any and all students with an interest in the outdoors. We meet weekly on Wednesdays from 2:50-3:20 and conduct monthly outings.

Interested in becoming a mentor? This is the place for you!! The BEST BUDDY program builds friendships between people with and without intellectual and physical disabilities. It offers social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion. We’re looking for leaders! Come fit in with us every first Monday of the month in LB 104 from 2:50-3:30PM.
