Passover, beginning the evening of Monday, April 22nd and going through the evening of Tuesday, April 30th, is celebrated by Jewish each year, commemorating the anniversary of the Exodus from Egyptian slavery.
Spring Testing Information - All students should be checking their school email regularly for information and updates.
All Freshman and Sophomores will be taking the NWEA exam on Wednesday, May 1st. More information will be shared during Advisory and via email. Juniors and Seniors do not have classes on this day. However, there will be career and college activities provided.
AP exams begin on May 6th. All students taking an AP exam should check their email regularly for information and updates.
All Juniors will be taking the Maine State Science exam on Monday, May 20th. More details to follow after vacation.
Spring Fling Dance
May 4th ~ 7-10pm ~ Linnell Gym
Tickets already sold for Winter Carnival will be honored. Those who don't have tickets and wish to attend on May 4th can purchase tickets from Mrs. Martin in the Counseling Office. They are $10 each and payable by cash or check made out to Thornton Academy. The deadline to purchase tickets is May 1, 2024.

Senior Permanent Art Collection Entries Now Accepted
Attention Senior Artists: The TA Permanent Art Collection Committee announces its Call for Entries 2024 and invites you to submit one artwork for consideration for this competition. Please read and follow the attached google form instructions carefully. If you have any questions feel free to email (jodi.thomas@thorntonacademy.org) or see Ms. Thomas in person in room FA122 after school.
The T.A. Anglers' Society is open to any and all students with an interest in the outdoors. We meet weekly on Wednesdays from 2:50-3:20 and conduct monthly outings.
