Make a Difference — One Bag at a Time!
Please help us support our unsheltered neighbors right here in Saco!
We’re putting together Care Bags filled with essential items to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those in need.
These bags are given to the Saco Police Department, which distributes them directly to unsheltered individuals in our community.
We made 80 bags last year, and we would like to make 100 bags this year.
Each bag includes:
Hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
Warm items (blankets, socks, hats, mittens, etc.)
Snacks & bottled water
Want to help? Here’s how:
Donate items or funds
Assemble bags with us
Spread the word to friends, coworkers, or local groups
Together, we can show our neighbors they’re not forgotten.
Contact maryann.martin@thorntonacademy.org or sara.gallo@thorntonacademy.org to donate or get involved: You can drop off any items at the Thornton Academy Attendance Office, the Thornton Academy Alumni House or On The Go Designs, 243 Main Street, Saco.
