Winter Solstice, December 21, is the first day of winter.
Reminder: Adopt A Family unwrapped gifts are due. Please include a note with the family number and the child you shopped for. Example: Family #12, Child 1. That way, we can ensure each donation gets to the correct child/family. Gifts should be dropped off in the School Counseling Office with Mrs. Martin.
Thank you for your generosity and your kindness throughout the year!
The Academic WorldQuest class cordially invites students to student-led seminars, block 4 maroon on both Tuesday, December 12 and Thursday, December 14 in MB006. Tuesday's discussion will be on the role of NATO in today's world (special focus on the war in Ukraine). The second session will focus on how sports diplomacy can advance partnerships between countries. Thursday's seminar explores the efforts of Europe and other regions to combat climate change and transition towards a greener and more sustainable future. We will talk about fossil fuels and clean energy among other things, such as environmental policies, protocols, and international agreements. The second seminar will focus on the fastest growing population in the world, Africa, discussing the risks and opportunities of this growth. Contact Mr. Nelson for more information.
