End of Year Schedules
Students - Help us pronounce your name correctly at end-of-year events!
Please take a moment now to make a voice memo clearly stating your name. Submit the voice memo in the Name Pronunciation form so that all faculty readers will be able to access it in preparation for events.
Thornton Academy’s 2024-25 yearbook, Golden Era, will be distributed to those who both pre-ordered the book, and those who would still like to purchase, starting on Monday 5/12/25! The Tripod staff will be running sales and distribution events in the Café during all lunch waves until sold out. There are limited quantities for those who have yet to purchase their copy, while supplies last. But purchase quickly - we’re close to selling out! Students that do not have a lunch wave may contact Mr. Pulsifer to set up a time during the school day to pick up or purchase a yearbook.
There are three ways to purchase:
Log on to www.yearbookforever.com, and search “Thornton Academy”. Then, select the Upper School store (not the TAMS store). From there, follow the on-screen prompts to purchase your book using a credit/debit card or PayPal, and then students can pick up immediately starting on 5/12/25.
If you’d prefer to use cash, fill out a form during lunch in the Café starting on 5/12/25 and get your yearbook immediately.
If you’d prefer to write a check, those can be made out to Thornton Academy. Students will then fill out a form during lunch in the Café starting on 5/12/25 and get their yearbook immediately.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email Mr. Pulsifer at: josh.pulsifer@thorntonacademy.org

Art Display Etiquette Policy
Why We Have This
Our gallery is here to showcase the creative work of Thornton Academy’s Visual Art students. To help
keep the space safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask visitors to follow a few simple guidelines.
Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting the arts at TA.
Gallery Guidelines
Give Art Some Space
Stay about one foot away from the artwork. Please don’t lean on walls, pedestals, or
display surfaces.
Hands Off
Even if it’s tempting, do not touch the artwork, pedestals, frames, or display cases. Oils
and dirt from hands can damage surfaces and materials.
No Food, Drinks, or Gum
Food, drinks, candy, and gum are not allowed in the gallery or display areas. Students
should remember that eating belongs in the cafeteria, as per school rules. Keeping the
art areas clean helps protect the work on display.
Ask Before You Snap
Do not take photos or videos of artwork without permission from the artist or an art
teacher. Photographing someone else’s work without their consent breaks rules of
respect, privacy, and artist rights. Always ask first.
No Running or Roughhousing
Running, pushing, shoving, or horseplay in the gallery is not allowed. These actions can
be unsafe and may damage the artwork.
Keep It Chill
A gallery is meant to be a quiet, thoughtful space—like a library. Use your indoor voice
when visiting and be mindful of others who are viewing and reflecting on the artwork.
Avoid loud conversations or disruptive noise.
Thank you for helping us take care of this creative space. If you notice a problem
or have a question, please check in with a Visual Art Teacher or one of the Deans.
The Angler's Society is always looking for new members. Anyone with an interest in the Maine Outdoors is encouraged to come and check it out. We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 2:50-3:00pm in SB 203 and conduct monthly outings on the water.
