National Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 15, celebrates the contributions, heritage, and culture of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, September 17, commemorates the ratification of the United States Constitution in 1787, and all those who have become U.S. citizens.
School Picture Day
Thursday morning, 9/12/24, school pictures will be taken of all returning upper school students. Those who attend BRCOT in the morning should plan to report to the auditorium immediately after BRCOT classes to get your picture taken before photographers leave.
TA Release Form
Juniors and Seniors may fill out the TA Release form for any block that is currently a study hall. Sophomores may request release only for a block 1 or 4.
Parking Permits for Juniors and Seniors
All parking permits have been issued and there will be no more issued this year. Any student that filled out the form, but still needs to pick up their permit should do so in Mr. Trask's office as soon as possible.
Need a Schedule Change?

Information for Seniors!
Senior Survey
In the first week of school, students will complete a senior survey to provide counselors with basic information regarding their future aspirations.
Senior Individual Meetings
Each senior will have an individual meeting with their school counselor to discuss their current post-secondary plans and the specific steps necessary to move forward.
Senior Group Meetings
School counselors will visit core, honors, and AP level senior English classes on September 13th &16th to review the college application process, and provide support with the Common Application and Scoir.
TA College Fair
On September 24th and October 1st, students will have the opportunity to meet with college admissions professionals during the school day.
Financial Aid Information Night / College Kick-Off
September 25th, Thornton Academy Auditorium , 6:00 PM
The first Student Council meeting is on Thursday, September 12th at 8:00am in the library. All are welcome!

The Angler's Society is always looking for new members. Anyone with an interest in the Maine Outdoors is encouraged to come and check it out. We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 2:50-3:00pm in SB 203 and conduct monthly outings on the water.
Sign Up and Tune Up meeting: Come sign up for TA Cycling Club, Thursday, September 19th at 3:00. Bring your bike if you want for a safety check and tune up. If you can't make it see Mr. Sylvester in LB 203 for a permission slip and sign up. All level and ability of riders welcome. Weekly/Monthly rides will go on weather permitting (Thursdays).
