Veterans’ Day on November 11 honors military veterans & U.S. Armed Services, observed this year on Friday, November 10.
Interested in becoming a mentor? This is the place for you!! The BEST BUDDY program builds friendships between people with and without intellectual and physical disabilities. It offers social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion. We’re looking for leaders! Come fit in with us every first Monday of the month in LB 104 from 2:50-3:30PM. FLIK SURVEY
Students: FLIK is a school dining service that provides meals at Thornton Academy. FLIK has developed a survey for them to potentially use to enhance the customer experience and is asking students in grades 9-12 to please take 3 minutes to participate. The FLIK survey can be found HERE.
Become a TA Tour Guide!
Help welcome prospective students and families to Thornton Academy! TA Tour Guides give campus tours, connect with students on email and social media, and help out at open houses and fairs. Animal Rights
The November TA Animal Rights Club Meeting has been rescheduled for 11/14, 3-4 PM.
Art Club
Please join the Art Club for its first meeting to brainstorm visual art activities for future meetings! November 28th from 3-3:30 PM in FA 116.
Art School Presentations 2023-24
The following Art School presentations have been scheduled during Ms. Thomas’ Gold 4 block class in room FA 122(B). All Junior & Senior Artists interested in attending art school at the post-secondary level may attend as long as they have permission from their Gold 4 Teacher and have a pass from them. Please sign-up in advance with Ms. Thomas in person after school or by email. Students must have a pass from their academic teacher the day of the presentation. Please no surprise drop-ins on the day of the presentation!

Seniors, it is time for us to begin planning for Commencement on June 9, 2024!
If you expect to graduate, your first step is to provide some key information so that we can order your appropriately sized cap & gown. There is no cost to you for placing this order.
The deadline for cap & gown orders is: Friday, November 10th
The Josten's form will ask you for:
- your name
- your estimated height, in feet and inches
- an estimated weight range, in pounds
- your email
- a parent/guardian email
