As like coffee, tea (popularly known as chai in India) has many inherently beneficial properties. Try this Spiced Black Tea.

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cup water
- 4 cloves
- 4 black pepper
- 2 green cardamoms
- 1 inch cinnamon
- 1 star anise
- 1 tsp black tea or according to taste
- Lemon Juice according to taste ( approx 1 ½ - 2 tsp )
- Honey according to taste ( approx 2 – 3 tbsp )
Instructions ( 1 cup = 230 ml, 1 tbsp = 15 ml, 1 tsp = 5 ml)
- Boil 2 ½ cup water in a kettle or a pot.
- Once water starts to boil, remove from heat. Add black tea / tea bags and whole spices. Cover the pan and keep it aside for 15-20 min.
- Once the tea is steeped, strain it, discarding the spices and tea / tea bags.
- Add sugar / honey and lemon juice and your spiced black tea is ready.
- Garnish the spiced black tea with lemon slices, mint leaves, or spices.
- Serve spiced black tea warm in cold winter days or chilled in hot summer days.
